1 cup raisins
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 tablespoons raisin juice
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups quick oats
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Simmer raisins covered with water until plump; drain except for 5 tablespoons raisin juice.

Beat together butter or margarine, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add raisin juice with baking soda, cinnamon, oats, flour, and salt. Stir in raisins. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes.

Yield: 2 dozen cookies
